Freelance Content Writing Prices

As a freelance content writer, I charge based on word count. This works out best for you because you know what you’re going to pay for my content writing services from the start.

In my experience as a freelance writer, it doesn’t make sense to charge hourly rates, because then your cost is dependent upon how long it takes me to finish the project.

Having said that, here’s what you get when you hire me as your content writer:

  • Professionally written, well-researched, and original content written by an experienced writer
  • Content that has been optimized with SEO best practices
  • Subject matter expertise
  • Content that engages, invokes, informs, and builds authority
  • Timely communication about the project’s status

What You Get For These Rates

When you hire me for your content marketing, you get more than a polished first draft. Here’s what my content writing prices include.

Pre-Writing Interview

Before I start the researching and writing stages, there are a few things I need to know beforehand.

So, either through email or video call, I ask you a set of questions that helps me determine the intended audience and objective for your content.

Once I have a clear understanding of your expectations, I can then move on to the researching phase.

Thoroughly Researched Content

I spend hours researching every piece of content I write before typing one character into my writing program.

What does this mean for you? It means that the final content will position you as the authority of your industry.

However, publishing well-researched content is not enough nowadays. You also have to get your content ranking in search engines, which I also handle.

SEO Best Practices

Your content has to be optimized to appear in search engines’ top results pages, or SERPs.

However, optimizing your content to appear in top-10 results takes more than just stuffing keywords into your blog posts. In fact, this could actually work against your content and get it penalized by search engines.

There’s an art to using SEO best practices, and I implement that art in every piece of content I produce for you.

Two Revisions For Each Piece Of Content

To produce unmatched website content, it may take a few rounds of writing and revising. Because of this, I offer two revisions on all pieces of content that I write for you.

If the content needs more than two revisions because you change the scope midway through the project, I charge a higher rate for this service.

However, because I never start a writing project until I fully understand your wants and needs, two revisions is plenty to get the job done.

But having SEO-friendly content certainly helps.
The optimal length that your content should be depends on many things. But a general rule of thumb to follow is this: aim for at least 1,000 words. If you're trying to outrank a competitor for a specific keyword, publish content that is at least 1.5 times longer than theirs.
